Fun with Math (Bless Power)

So earlier I did a little bit of an experiment with Bless. I had heard that 4 bless mod gives a bonus of 1 to BWIAS, but given that spell power is different between the classes I wanted to double check.

What I found:

97 Bless Power = +22 BWIAS
98 Bless Power = +22 BWIAS
99 Bless Power = +22 BWIAS
100 Bless Power = +23 BWIAS
101 Bless Power = +23 BWIAS
102 Bless Power = +23 BWIAS
103 Bless Power = +23 BWIAS
104 Bless Power = +23 BWIAS
105 Bless Power = +24 BWIAS

So from what I have seen, every 4.4 bless spell power gives +1 BWIAS... What a weird number.

Only reason I posted this was because it didn't seem like anyone in the game knew. The 4 mod bless only works for races with a +10% spell power bonus, everyone else has different mods required for it.

So for anyone that was curious about it or anyone that has additional thoughts on the topic, this is what I've found

10% of 4 is .4, so 4.4 Not sure if that has anything to do with your findings   

Yeah but I wanted to see how much bless spell power is required to raise BWIAS by 1... Apparently it was based off of Sorc instead of Hara, which would make more sense lol. Dunno why they would make it 4.4 spell power and not just 4. Would make more sense that way, but whatever.

So now that we know how much spell power we need, instead of about how much mod, it's easier to figure out how much bless any class needs. Still, was just a little weird experiment I decided to do.

So 100 bless power is 23 bwias... good to know. Always wondered about that in the back of my mind.

I think the next thing I do will be prot/ew/ms... Though I'm guessing they are about the same as bless. MS I think is a little lower than prot. I know curse is like the antibless so I'm guessing it's the same... just reversed lol.

As I see it, Bless modifies the 5 base attributes of a character (will, int, bra, str,agi).
Each of those 5 base attributes in turn then modifies individual skills (including bless).

Power = power modifier by race
Attribute mod = power /5 + 3

An individual skill mod depends on the modified power of the 5 attributes.
