| I've looked about on the forum and I've found that there used to be a donate button but it was removed. Are there any plans on adding it back in?
I'd be quite happy to donate up to monthly provided I have the money spare. Not interested in any bonuses either, just want to show my support for a game I enjoy playing.

Not LAck of Donating, players donated of course, and admins where wery happy, since the maintenence costs where lower fot them to run this server. but then the day came, where players started making demands, i want that, i want this, (or else). So players started making demands to admins, and said, why dont you do anything for us? we pay for this server aswell! Gods do more then we think, remember they got a job aswell... so then they took aay donate button, so they can run server without any complaints... still we complain ALOT..

| Haha. Well thats a shame. I'd be quite happy to donate purely to show my appreciation and to help with server costs. | |

| I am the one that removed the donate button so i feel most qualified to comment here. The donation button was removed because it was up there for a year and a half, and not one single donation was ever received. It was an obsolete item on my page and naturally it was culled.
There was talk at the time of players who would donate to the server for added benefits, but a fair system of reward was not designed because staff have an ethos of allowing every player fair and equal access to all this game has to offer without prejudice or favoritism. When it was decided that it was in Aranock's best interests not to introduce a reward system, then the interested investors disappeared quickly.
This is s a subject that occasionally rears its head every now and then and it often appears as if admin are refusing charitable help. This is not the case, admin have no problem accepting donations to cover maintenance costs as long as we don't feel that by doing so we will be called upon to give 'special' privileges to the donor. IMHO most people do have some reason for donating that is less than altruistic and thus i haven't yet felt the desire to re-instate the donate button. I am however open to discussion about whether it should be.

| Haha, thats a little bit different from what was posted above.
Personally I'm not big on paying for items in a game when I'd be at a disadvantage if I don't because I don't like them being a sort of requirement, but that's just me.
Maybe something minor that doesn't affect gameplay? Like for example, for each $10 you donate you get a month of donator status on a character of your choice. It could be something mentioned when people "look" at you or maybe a title in front of players names like how people in v3 have Sir or Lady before their name if they've defeated Islena. Or maybe their name and health is in a different colour.
Sometimes even just a status with no practical purpose can encourage people to donate just to brag. Sometimes.

| /t Sir Valadez Hello and /t Sir Redman Hello will both go to the same person. It would need to be SirValadez and SirRedman and then I am not sure if it would allow a duplicate name to be created as in Sirredman. Also while you are called SirValadez someone else can create a character called Valadez and then we have a problem. It is not insurmountable but just an issue. | |

| Would it not be possible to have the Sir/Lady part not actually be part of the name? So above my character it shows Sir Valadez but for all other purposes I'd still be Valadez. Like in chat, /tells etc. | |

| For the sake of /who space, maybe just make the name a different color. | |

| And just not put Sir/Lady title on /who.
Or just shorten the titles to "S" and "L" on /who.

| I don't think prefixes on donators would be good. However, red text after their desc should be acceptable (and easily done)/
I wouldn't mind a pay for cosmetics thing, as well. Like, change the color of your cape via donating a bit - or other things not functionality related.
