Last year I replaced all the windows in my house with that expensive
double-pane energy efficient kind.
Today, I got a call from my wife.
She said the contractor that installed them called and was complaining that the work had been
completed a whole year ago andwe still hadn't paid for them.
I have let her handle the check book and didn't realize that my wife never paid them!
I was livid! I asked how she could let such a big thing go by unpaid, what if they send us to collections, what about my credit rating?
She replied "Hellloooo,...........just because I'm blonde doesn't mean that I am
automatically stupid. So, I told him just what his fast talking sales
guy had told us last year, that in ONE YEAR these windows would pay for
themselves! Helllooooo? It's been a year! I told him."
Dumbfounded that she could even think that, I asked what he said.
"well" she said "there was only silence at the other end of the line, so I finally just
hung up. He never called back. I bet he felt like an idiot."
