Help pnglib.idx not found

hey trying to get a mate started on the game but all he has is an old desktop and I'm getting this message while trying to play the game. does anyone know what it means and how to fix it?

Make sure all the game files are in the same location (folder), to make it easy, i'd try to throw everything on the desktop or something.

yeah I got it working in the end. just to let you know I downloaded the game from the site today onto his computer. extracted it and there was a file missing. had to get it off my laptop

? That shouldn't be the case, there are people who just downloaded the game on fresh computers and it worked ok, no need to look for files...

who knows it worked fine for me not that long ago as well.

The auto extractor should download the files and subfolders correctly. The game then needs to be executed from this folder worth the other extracted files in place.
The error message indicates that it can not find the file in the same folder.
