Seyan Sword

I have made some changes to the seyan sword in preparation for the new quest.
If all goes as plans you should not notice any difference at all.

However, given that there were quite a few places that needed to change, let me know if you see anything unusual.

*Confused* I didn't realize necro/seyan could do the new quest..

No restriction on which races can do the new quest, only on the prizes you can get.

And now the seyan can get the quest prize.

So the seyan sword seems the same. I mean it looks the same anyway. Its hard to tell though, because well you know. I can't actually hold it -_-

I don't know when I was able to hold/use it again, but I was able to later some time. I don't know if it was exp gain or equiping another weapon first that did it.

Also when I went to my first shrine in recall quest after doing most of the TQs it gave me a brand new sword.

Assuming you are seyan and you touch a seyan shrine:
- If you are holding the seyan sword in your right hand then it will update the sword to reflect the new shrine and your WV will increase (assuming you had not touched it previously
- If you are not holding the sword then it will create a new sword for you with the updated WV. Note that if you do have a seyan sword somewhere else (in inventory, in bank, on carpet etc) then that sword will made invalid and lose all of its magic. When a new seyan sword is created you will lose 50 luck. If your luck is < 50 then it will not create a new sword for you because you will be deemed to be unworthy.

None of this has changed and has been this way since before the beginning of time as we know it.

The changes I made relate to the new quest seyan sword but by necessity I had to modify about 10ish places in the code that relate to seyan swords and there is always the risk of breaking something.

I seyaned my char Diefour. When I arrived as a seyan and tried to equip my sword it said I could not wear it, it belonged to Diefour. I did all the TQs except bless / rest / sense magic. Randomly tried to equip it and it worked. I had equiped a bronze dagger from the thief barter quest and a bronze 2h and unsuccessfully tried to equip a steel 2h before that.

I went to recall with the sword equipped, touched the shrine and got wv/a new sword. The old one was placed in my inventory. Unless of course it fixed the old one and de-magiced the new one but I would find that unlikely.

I had the sword that previously would not equip. It did not think it was mine despite the name being identical and eventually allowing me to wear it. Don't know what else to tell you.

Ok reading from what you said, it was the initial sword that you were given that had the problem and you were not able to wear it? I will have a look at that.

I am guessing your sword first started working once you touched your first shrine and a new sword was created.

The first sword I was given was the only one that had a problem. The 2nd sword / all shrines after worked normally. Though I swear I was @ 19 base WV. (I could be totally nuts and have had on EW thats a very vague memory on the 19 wv). I thought all shrines were 4 wv. Shouldnt that have gone 12, 16, 20 then?

At first the very first sword given at seyan would not work. Then at an unknown time it began to fucntion and allowed me to equip it and boosted my WV, however it gave me a new sword anyway. The name it presented was identical to mine, which is odd since names have to be unique. So I am guessing some under lying unique character ID didn't match or there is some other criteria checked when equipping the sword.

The only thing that changed in being unable / able to equip my sword was equipping other weapons, rank, exp, quests / skills.

Seyan sword from seyan portal and its description are now fixed.
