| I have been having trouble with my GC and comps sometimes as well. I only use GC in RD so I am not sure if this is only there but I assume it isn't as it happens with comps in pents as well. I make a GC and he just stands there, he will attack something if I attack something in his range of sight but after that he just stands where he ended up. I have tried to change my speed, I have tried to tell him to follow or move, and nothing seems to work; he acknowledges my commands but nothing happens. I would really appreciate it if something could be done about this. | |

| This is a known problem for which there is no obvious simple solution.
I have had a quick look at this in the past and the GCs appear to lose cntact with their masters and then struggle to regain it. It is more common in low light or where there are barriers or the higher your stealth but not a 100% correlation. I have noticed if you and/or the GC have light cast then the chances of it happening are reduced.
The low level code that is used to control this is complex and not well documented. It would require a significant line by line debugging effort that I can not commit to at this stage although it is on my longer term list.
From what I can tell, this issue has been around for a very long time, possibly back to original moa days.
I suspect this answer will not give you much comfort.
I have increased the max Perception (90->150) on GCs, lowered its cost (3->2) and increased its start value (4->15). This MAY marginaly improve GCs but will not help comps.

| if it's just the GC vision
Implement Infravision and 255/255 Perc to GC's

| Its all a big balancing act. Adjusting GC's can affect PVP, so that has to be kept in mind when making adjustments. Giving GCs too much will give those with GCs an advantage over those without. | |

| Normally i had success on fixing stuff by rewriting code when I was in school, when my projects were not working. | |

| Ok so just an update on the gc problem. If I step somewhere within my gcs vision and stop and wait for like two minutes my gc will follow me there so it isn't so much that he can't see me so much as there is a delay in his response. I also had light cast on both of us. I don't know if this is any help but thought I would point that out. | |

| I've noticed that having a GC with one or more comps will have effects. For example, if i leave a comp behind to the point where it's too fr away to catch up my GC will not want to follow me anymore. Always keep your comps together, dont leave stragglers and you will lessen the chances of it happening. Plus cast light on all of them. Their perception is lower and they wont respond properly without light.
At least that's what I've found to work.
