Luck Chart

Im tired of guessing if I am getting 1000k or 1 point when I donate. Help me gather some data on luck by checking before and after donations!

Maybe LL will just look and tell us how it works for (1) gold and (2) items.

However, he is pretty busy so data collection is a good option.

I never wrote this down so it's 100% from memory, may need a lil testing to confirm:

So for nunnbt's example of a colonel donating a tit axe we start by figuring the denominator: Colonel is rank 14 so we have (15)(15)(15)(4) or 13500. I think tit axe's true value is around 450g so numerator becomes 45000 plus a random number between 1 and 45000. Maximum luck would be about 6 (90000 divided by 13500). Minimum would be 45001 over 13500, which works out to about 3 luck. The moral of the story is you really need to get your luck at pvt cuz the denominator goes up incredibly fast as you rank. At rank 0 your denominator is simply the number 4 giving you at least 11250 luck per tit axe.

So basically once you hit officer your screwed donation wise then since it doesnt always give you at least 1 luck.

my memory is horrible so you should confirm formula before making us a nice spreadsheet that shows just how much gold needed for each rank to receive 1 luck.

the moral holds true even if I messed up the formula. get your luck at pvt. and then never die vs mobs (pvp deaths are ok)

Just tested this formula with my Earl

donated 800g, so

80000 + (random(80000)) / 70304 = approx 1 maybe 2 if I get a high rng.

I got 1 luck as the formula told me I would, I could probably have gotten away with donating 704 gold, and still getting 1 luck. Will do more testing later with different gold amounts.

After a couple more donations, I have found the formula to be a bit off. I recieved more luck than the formula granted I could. Here is my current donations, rank and luck gained, will continue adding to formula, but first must do some gold farming, Here are my current results.

I will be doing more testing with these gold amounts, so as to see the variable high and low ends of each, just to get a better idea of what the average would be. Will repost when I have more data. Each # under luck gained section, is a separate donation. Going to go for 5 of each increment to start off with.

Where duz the 70304 come from? by my calculations the Earl denominator should be 48668. It looks like formula is really close, I only see 1 number outside the predicted range:

EDIT: I must be a genius, because I thought EARL was rank 25....for some reason i was convinced that WARLORD was rank 26, for some unknown reason, so i jsut counted down 1 xD
