Pumpkins

How many pumpkins are there around aranock? I wondered why the pumpkins are nver around town on the street

Too easy to find.

There are lots and lots but been a long time since I counted them. Just tested and there appears to be 42 pumpkin chests plus all the pumpkins in NPCs and grave and on players.

oh ok its just hard to fnd the good ones usually get normal mana pots for them

Well, to be fair, think of the loot that the kids get at halloween.

How many full size candy bars do they get? How many dum-dums are there?

Also the rewards from the pumkins are scaled to the rank needed to get to the pumpkins.

If the rewards are scaled to the rank of the pumpkin shouldn't the enemy be as well? I had a pumpkin I picked in town that gave me a brig ghost that nearly killed me twice (took me to 6% before a recall) and I had to call in help to remove. Then of course you have people like Urkuru who like to leave earl undead laying around outside the temple.


I didnt know they could be in graves...? My tincan randomly checks graves for mama pots as he pents and has yet to see any =/. Does perception or sense magic reveal them?

Monsters are spawned are a +/- 3 rnage to the spawners rank.

I don't know of any monsters in graves. But I could be wrong on that account.

Monsters were supposed to be +1 to -3 your rank. Pumpkins in graves can generate monsters.

Sense magic detects scrolls and magic items. I don't remember if pumpkins had the magic flag set. Would be a good idea otherwise you would never sense them. Perception does not help except for Skua scrolls as far as I know.

There are 10 evels of pumpkin chests. The harder to get to/find them the better the items in them.

By the way - the pumpkins have gone for this year. Come back next halloween for more.
